Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Eat Drink & More handles personal data when you use this website, contact us or use an authorised website account.
1. Who is responsible for your personal data?

2. What personal data do we process?
Depending on how you use the website, we can process:
- Contact enquiries: your name, email address, optional phone number, selected subject and region, message and the fact that you confirmed you read the privacy information.
- Website accounts: account name, email address, WordPress user role and, for regional publishers, the assigned region. Passwords are handled by WordPress in hashed form.
- Website statistics: aggregated page views and selected actions such as phone, email, WhatsApp, social-media and document-download clicks. To estimate unique browsers, the server creates a pseudonymous one-way hash from technical request information, including IP address and browser user agent. The raw IP address and raw user agent are not stored in the Eat Drink & More statistics tables.
- Technical information: the hosting provider and security systems can process normal server-log information such as IP address, browser information, date/time and requested URL for operation and security.
- External media: if you consent to external media, services used for maps or embedded video receive the technical information required to deliver that content.
3. Why do we use this data?
- to answer enquiries and route regional questions to the appropriate regional publisher;
- to operate authorised publisher, editor and statistics accounts;
- to understand in aggregate how the website and regional magazine pages are used;
- to secure, maintain and troubleshoot the website;
- to load optional external maps and video only after you give permission.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the situation, processing is based on steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement, performance of an agreement, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and answering enquiries, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where consent is specifically requested. Optional external media is loaded only after consent.
5. Contact form
The Eat Drink & More Core plugin sends contact-form submissions by email to Head Office or, when you select a region, to the relevant regional publisher. The plugin does not store a separate contact-form submission record in WordPress. The resulting email can remain in the recipient’s mailbox and email-service backups in accordance with their normal retention and business requirements.
6. Website statistics
Our own website statistics do not create an analytics cookie or localStorage identifier. Estimated unique-browser records are automatically deleted after approximately 400 days. Aggregated page-view and interaction totals can be retained for longer because they are used as historical website and regional performance statistics.
7. Who can receive your data?
Personal data can be processed by authorised Eat Drink & More staff and regional publishers where relevant, and by service providers needed for hosting, email, website maintenance and security. When you enable external media, the relevant map or video provider also receives the network information necessary to provide that content.
8. International processing
Some technology or media providers can process information outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the applicable provider is responsible for using an appropriate transfer mechanism where required by data-protection law. Optional external media remains disabled until you consent.
9. How long do we keep personal data?
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution requirements. Website-account data is normally kept while the account is active or needed for administration. Contact emails are kept according to business and legal needs. Estimated unique-browser records are automatically removed after approximately 400 days.
10. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of applicable data-protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent for the future at any time.
To exercise a privacy right, email info@eat-drink-more.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority in the EU/EEA, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, place of work or the place where you believe an infringement occurred.
12. Cookies and external media
For details about cookies, the consent preference and optional external content, see our Cookie Policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, suppliers or processing activities change. The current version will be published on this page.
